Valentine's Gift Guide for Him

Valentine's Gift Guide for him

Welcome to the second part of my Valentine's gift guide, where I share a few present ideas for the men in your life...

1. Calvin Klein Boxer Set- I think this is a great gift because they're a bit too expensive for him to necessarily splurge on himself but are stylish, sexy and he'll definitely use them!

2. Portable Phone Charger- If he's a bit of a gadget man he might already have one of these, but if he doesn't- he needs one! They're so useful and at the moment the Anker range are massively reduced on Amazon so check that out :)

3. Cologne/Aftershave- Guys that smell good are just something else, I think they often underestimate the importance of a good fragrance! My personal favourites include any Armani scent (I like Diamonds a lot) and Paco Rabanne 1 Million.

4. Jack Wills - Here I've chosen a nice shirt, and a pair of comfy loungepants. I went with the brand Jack Wills because sometimes guys love a label, and it's currently 25% off for students. Thank me later!

5. Chocolate - Why does chocolate have to be something only girls like? I reckon you should get a box of chocolates like a nice special collection from Hotel Chocolat and share it whilst watching a movie or something. A perfect present you can both benefit from!

6. Nike Roshe Runs- These shoes are really popular at the moment with an increasing amount of guys wearing them. They're sporty/casual and apparently really comfy.

7. Gift Basket- If nothing stands out to you then why not make a gift basket for him, full of his favourite things? You could put a small bottle of wine/prosecco, some of his favourite foods, a DVD, anything! Very personalised and romantic.

Other ideas include a weekend away or buying an experience for him if you have a bigger budget!

Thanks for reading guys, as always!
Lots of love,

Pinterest Obsessions

A snapshot of my Pinterest...

So, I'm going though a phase of being absolutely addicted to Pinterest. I love it so much for inspiration- food recipes, travel destinations, makeup looks, hair, interior design, quotes. Obsessed.
I've recently just ordered some cute polaroid photos that I hope to put up above my desk when they arrive- full of funny/motivational quotes, style and beauty pictures that I've got off Pinterest and the odd one of me and my loved ones in there too, so I can't wait to show you guys!

At the moment I'm loving healthy, delicious recipes, and quotes that keep me motivated to work out, do work, and stick to my new year's resolutions. I'm loving fairylights, candles, and all things cosy in terms of interior design. I literally can't wait until I have my own home and can decorate it exactly how I like and have the comfiest sofa ever (these sofas in student houses just don't hack it!). Creams and neutral shades and soft fabrics are my current faves. I'm also a little bored of my hair so I'm looking at different pretty styles.
On the fashion side of things, I'm loving black, black, black. Black ripped jeans and long black boots. Also, high-neck jumpers, and grey marl tops and chunky cardigans. Makeup looks I'm loving include fresh dewy skin, winged eyeliner, and tutorials on how to make your eyebrows look unreal. 2015 IS the year every woman wants their eyebrows to look unreal ok (it's not just me).

I'm going to start using Pinterest more for my blog, as a lot of bloggers have boards full of tips, tricks, blog design help etc and even blog post ideas!
If you have Pinterest and want to follow me I'd love it!

A Wishlist...

A Wishlist...

Hey guys, today I thought I'd share with you my current wishlist.
As you can see there's many things I would love but just can't afford, but I can dream!

Firstly with the beauty/make-up items, I really want to try a new foundation and I feel like an awful beauty blogger having not tried out Nars Sheer Glow or Estee Lauder Double Wear! After I'm done with my beloved No7 foundation in Honey (I love you.) I'm going to have to splurge on one of these, and it'll probably be the Nars first, leaving the slightly heavier coverage Estee Lauder for the winter.

Also from Nars, I want one of their 'Multiples. The Matte Multiple is a multi-purpose makeup stick that can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks. Beautycrush on Youtube recently stated how she loves this product and uses it everyday for contouring and it blends so naturally into the cheekbones. It's expensive at £30 but my Hoola bronzer has almost run out so I might just have an excuse to get this one on payday!

I also really want a MAC lipstick and lipliner. After reading Beauty and the Blog's new post she's got me lusting after MAC Whirl lipliner and MAC Yash lipstick and wearing them together. Yash is a matte nude colour, while Whirl is a slightly richer 'your lips but better' colour. Also, Kylie Jenner recently revealed on twitter the lip product she uses on her lips is Mac's Whirl *cue product selling out everywhere*

Finally, I am dying to try out the widely loved YSL Shocking mascara after hearing such good things about it. It's in stiff competition with my Lancome Hypnose Star Eyes and Benefit's They're Real though!

I've been wanting a pair of Rayban Aviators for so long now but can't get myself to spend the £100+ to get them. I'm so afriad I'll either lose them or sit on them or something and at the end of the day you pay so much for the little white scribble in the corner of the lense. However, I'm in love with them. I think they're effortless chic and just overall suit my face so much more than the other styles.

A Michael Kors bag is also on the wishlist. I love this bag in any colour and think it'll be so nice with the Rayban's, a pair of ripped jeans and a nice jumper (or any outfit at that matter).

As a new blogger, I'm taking all my photos using my iPhone. This is fine but I get major blog envy of those amazing visual blogs with high definition pictures and I think make-up tutorials will be way more effective if I used a DSLR camera. I've actually wanted one for ages as I can also take photos of whenever I go travelling too! In an ideal world I would love the Cannon 700D as it has a little flip out screen so you can see what you're recording if the camera is pointing at you. This IS pricey though at about £550 and other models come a bit cheaper such as the Cannon 100D and Cannon1200D (more around the £350 mark).

Above is the Cannon 100D, also know as the worlds smallest DSLR, apparently it's an amazing camera, small, light and it's touch screen too. I also am obsessed with the floral camera strap from Etsy.

Lastly, and probably for absolutely no reason, I want an Ipad. An Ipad Air (or Mini) would be a lovely addition to the Apple family and I can imagine it being so much easier to travel with, or just sit on the sofa or train with than a laptop. This is definitely not the top of my priority list though as having an iPhone and a laptop I don't need one at all, but it would be nice!

Thanks for reading and feel free to leave any comments below on what would be on  your wishlist!

Summer Ballin'

Last weekend I attended my University's Summer Ball and it was such a beaut night. I went with my best friend Sara and some of my course friends. Sara and I both got spray tans the day before from a cute little place in Leeds called 'Little Spa' in Burley and the woman who did them was SO nice. We got the darkest colour and they do an offer of 2 spray tans for £20 so me and Sara got them for a tenner each! So much cheaper than down south, in Salisbury I swear I paid up to £30 for my prom spray tan.

Sorry for the cringy selflies, but just trying to show my make-up here! I used the No7 Stay Perfect Foundation in 'Honey' mixed with a tiny bit of Bourjois CC Cream. Benefit Hoola as a contour and Watts Up as a gold highlight on the top of my cheekbones. For concealer I used Collection's long lasting concealer with Seventeen's Phwoar Paint heavy duty concealer on top and down the centre of my nose. I'm wearing the Kardashian's lip-set in 'Natural' on my lips and the Urban Decay Naked Palette on my lids- not sure what shades I used to be honest but wanted a goldy shimmery look! Finially I filled in my brows using Brow Zing's and am wearing Ardel's Demi-Wispies as eyelashes (the best fake-eyelashes ever ever ever) with Benefit's They're Real! mascara. I also just left my hair natural as I'm trying to grow it!
So I'm obsessed with this maxi dress from Zara. I thought it was a perfect summer ball dress as it was floaty and light but I could also wear this on holiday. At £49.99 it was quite expensive but I just fell in love with it! It comes in 3 colours now- the blue pictured above, cream, and in a light green. I think it's so flattering as well as makes you look slim while it has a low back and quite low front so you can show some skin.
And we got glitter tattoos...and sent classy snapchats...

And went on fairground rides.. :)
Pre Summer Ball, posing on the street...

Overall it was an amazing night and made me love University of Leeds even more! I've made so many good friends and got quite emotional I won't be with so many of them next year. Uni is one of the best experiences of my life though so if anyone is thinking about it, doooo it!

Thanks for reading and please subscribe :)
Lots of love!

Spring Wishlist #1

As a full time student, relying on loans doesn't leave me with a lot of money for the finer things in life, but I know I'm not alone. I do have two part time jobs and try to save as much as I can, but now and again it is nice to have a little splurge, and a wishlist is just a wishlist right? So here's my first 'luxury' Spring wishlist... now just to pray for that lottery win!

From Left: // Pandora Rings // Michael Kors Watch // Michael Kors Laptop Case // YSL Babydoll Mascara // Flora by Gucci perfume // Panasonic Nanoe Hairdryer // Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Pandora Rings/Charms - I literally love Pandora as I think they're everything that represents girly and chic in a jewellery brand. I don't think their pieces are so expensive that you couldn't realistically afford to buy something, as their prices do range from £20-£100s. This spring however, it's their rings and especially the birthstone range like pictured above which i'm loving. I seem to have seen them everywhere and I think they're so cute, perfect for day and night, and recognisably Pandora!

Michael Kors Watch - I'm one of those girls. I have to admit it, Christmas Day and even Valentines Day this year my Twitter and Instagram seemed to be full of lucky ladies with Michael Kors watches. I know I should want to be different but I want one so much, I think they're gorgeous, and a really eye-catching piece. My friend Holly has one and always gets comments on it. The gold ones are particular favourites of mine and think they're timeless, and I love the ones with a tiny bit of glitz such as the MK5676 .

Michael Kors Macbook CaseI've wanted one of these ever since I broke my right arm a year ago, and needed to get a new laptop (one that didn't turn off once unplugged...) to keep up with university notes as I couldn't hand write. They looked so pretty in the corner of Sheffield Meadowhall's Apple Store but at over £84 it was nothing I could justify sadly. I'd still love to get one for my Macbook Air when I can afford it one day, preferably in that gorgeous Raspberry colour.

YSL Babydoll Mascara - I actually am in a massive need of a new mascara, and I also seem to go through them like no other makeup item. I'm obsessed with Benefit's They're Real one minute, then the next i'm thinkng maaaan does it dry up quickly. I also love Lancome's Hypnose Star (it's amazing, trust me!). Sadly I don't have the longest natural eyelashes in the world and also find they're quite straight; this means I have tried a LOT of mascara. Drug store wise, I really do want to try Miss Manga, but my housemate Katie swears by her YSL Babydoll mascara, and I just can't wait to try it (and YSL Shocking mascara, too!)

Flora by Gucci (Gardenia) - I actually fell in love with this perfume about 6 months ago when I was browsing the boots perfume section with my mum. I've always worn CKIN2U for day to day and my beloved Chanel Mademoiselle at night, ever since my 18th birthday. I really would love another perfume, and as spring/summer is approaching, a floral one like this would be perfect.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - I feel like I should have this already... LOVE the first Naked Palette, wear it every single day, but I am obsessed with warm toned eyeshadows and I need to get my hands on this at some point soon (especially as it's 10% off in Debenhams at the moment!)

Panasonic Nanoe Hairdryer - I actually first heard about this hairdryer from my lovely cousin Alex. I am on a mission to grow my hair long, get it healthy, with volume and shine. I don't ask for a lot do I? haha. So when I heard about this hairdryer which promises to use
"superior nanoe technology which supplements the hair and scalp with additional moisture, preventing dryness and maintaining smooth, shiny hair and a healthy scalp" How can I not be tempted?! It's also got 5* reviews on the Boots website. At £109.99 it's not cheap so I may have to wait until this goes on offer...or keep it on the wishlist!

What's on your wishlist this month if money was no object?

Would love to hear from you! Thanks for reading :)
