Valentine's Gift Guide for Him

Valentine's Gift Guide for him

Welcome to the second part of my Valentine's gift guide, where I share a few present ideas for the men in your life...

1. Calvin Klein Boxer Set- I think this is a great gift because they're a bit too expensive for him to necessarily splurge on himself but are stylish, sexy and he'll definitely use them!

2. Portable Phone Charger- If he's a bit of a gadget man he might already have one of these, but if he doesn't- he needs one! They're so useful and at the moment the Anker range are massively reduced on Amazon so check that out :)

3. Cologne/Aftershave- Guys that smell good are just something else, I think they often underestimate the importance of a good fragrance! My personal favourites include any Armani scent (I like Diamonds a lot) and Paco Rabanne 1 Million.

4. Jack Wills - Here I've chosen a nice shirt, and a pair of comfy loungepants. I went with the brand Jack Wills because sometimes guys love a label, and it's currently 25% off for students. Thank me later!

5. Chocolate - Why does chocolate have to be something only girls like? I reckon you should get a box of chocolates like a nice special collection from Hotel Chocolat and share it whilst watching a movie or something. A perfect present you can both benefit from!

6. Nike Roshe Runs- These shoes are really popular at the moment with an increasing amount of guys wearing them. They're sporty/casual and apparently really comfy.

7. Gift Basket- If nothing stands out to you then why not make a gift basket for him, full of his favourite things? You could put a small bottle of wine/prosecco, some of his favourite foods, a DVD, anything! Very personalised and romantic.

Other ideas include a weekend away or buying an experience for him if you have a bigger budget!

Thanks for reading guys, as always!
Lots of love,

Valentine's Gift Guide for Her

Valentines Gift guide for her

Hello everyone!
I've just decided to write up a last minute Valentines gift guide! It's full of things I'd personally love to get for Valentines Day, so if you're still struggling, I hope this gives you some inspiration...

1. Perfume- I've chosen two of my favourite scents as an example: Lancome La Vie Est Belle and Mark Jacobs Daisy. Can't go wrong.

2. A Watch- I am obsessed with this Rose Gold Olivia Burton watch! It's so pretty and you can get this at Asos and Topshop I believe.

3. Zoeva Makeup Brushes- I've just written a review on these which will be up shortly, but I love them and personally got them as an early Valentines present! They look so pretty on your dressing table as well as being good value and high quality brushes.

4. Pandora- I love Pandora and I think you can never go wrong with something from there as a gift for your loved one. Sticking to a 'love' theme I chose the heart ring or the heart-shaped charm.

5. Lingerie/PJ's- If you want to get something a bit more sexy, other than an underwear set (I love them all.) I fell in love with this cute Strappy Front Teddy from Asos. At £25 I think it's a perfect present. I love this colour but I think they also have it in black .

6. Michael Kors Bag- Okay, so I put this on here because 1, I want one very much, and 2, I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS COLOUR. Obviously this only applies if you have a big budget but I thought I'd include it anyway.

7. Lipgloss- Any girly-girl would love a nice expensive lipgloss for their collection! Nars do great ones with a large selection of shades, as do MAC and if you really want to push the boat out check out Chanel.

8. Other Makeup - I stumbled across this Too Faced Sweetheart Beads- Radiant Glow Face Powder on Asos and thought it was a perfect little Valentine's present as the beads are heart shaped and being winter/spring at the moment our skin needs a bit of TLC, meaning we all need a little extra glow!

New Years Wishlist

New Years Wishlist

Zoeva Rose Golden Brush Collection / NARS Cosmetics Virtual Domination Cheek Palette/ Clarins Extra-Comfort foundation / Ben Nye Banana Face powder / Charlotte Tilbury Make-up / Louise Young Cosmetics foundation brush / Thigh high boots

New year, new wishlist! I'm probably poorer than ever right now after going skiing and indulging over Christmas, but there's still things I'd love to have in my life...

The Zoeva brushes are everywhere right now and are said to be amazing, and at £56 for the Rose Gold set, it's only £7/8 a brush which isn't too bad. I really only use my Real Techniques brushes and only have 1 eyeshadow brush I really use, I desperately would love more when I have some spare cash! These were on my Christmas list but sadly everywhere seems to have sold out of them (beautybay and love-makeup.com, so as soon as these are back in stock I might find it hard to resist).

NARS have this amazing palette (the Virtual Domination Cheek Palette) which includes cult favourites such as Deep Throat blush and Laguna bronzer. It's £45 but the RRP if sold separately would add up to £117...so...does that justify it?

MAC lipsticks- Pure Zen and Angel.

Clarins Extra Comfort Foundation. Laura from Buy Now/Blog Later loves this foundation and I'd love to try it so see for myself why it's so great. It does look like a lovely consistency, and with the LY34 brush she recommends to use with it it could be the perfect combo for a flawless face.

Ben Nye Banana Powder is rumoured to be what Kim Kardashian's makeup artist uses on her to set her makeup and achieve a flawless finish. Naturally, I want it, but it's so hard to come by in the UK.

Thigh high/over-the-knee black boots are very 'in' this season, and I would love to just try a pair on to see if they suit me actually. They look glamorous and Love Clothing and AX Paris have nice and relatively inexpensive pairs.

Finally, Charlotte Tilbury makeup. If money was no object at all I would probably buy the lot of it, but it's just so expensive that sadly I haven't got one thing. I've heard its absolutely amazing though and they have a few collections I would love to splurge on one day.

As always, thanks for reading and please follow me on Bloglovin!

I'd love to hear what's on your wishlist?

Summer Beauty Favourites 2014!

Summer Beauty Faves
Tangle Teezer/ Fake Bake Flawless tan/ L'oreal Fibrology Shampoo/ Dove Summer Glow body moisturiser/ Bourjois CC Cream/ Kardashian Lip-set in Natural/ Benefit They're Real! mascara/ Benefit Watts Up!/  Benefit Hoola Bronzer/ Benefit Brow Zings.

Hi everyone! Today I thought I'd write about my current summer beauty favourites, the products that I'm reaching for a lot at the moment and what I'm raving about.

Firstly, the Tangle Teezer and the L'oreal Fibrology shampoo are literally making my hair grow and look nice at the same time which in my opinion is a miracle. The hairbrush itself is just amazing as it doesn't pull on your hair at all which minimises hair fall-out and I actually lost this the other week when I moved back from University to home and I had to use a regular hairbrush and that's when I really noticed the difference- I will never go back! Also, I wrote a post on hair growth recently, but the Fibrology thickening shampoo makes my hair look bouncy and thicker without any need for me to blow-dry or style it using heat, meaning my hair is growing longer much quicker.

Secondly, fake tan is an important product for me and as the skirts and shorts come out in the summer, I'm grabbing the bottle more and more. However, I do really want to build up a natural tan if I can, so whilst I am obsessed with Fake Bake's Flawless Tan (which comes with the most amazing mitt and applies like a dream) the Dove Gradual Tan keeps my skin moisturised and I think doesn't interfere too much with getting a natural tan so I'll be using this more before I go on holiday. Fake Bake or Xen Tan are the fake tans I grab the most when I want to look super bronzed before a night out (I'll be doing a full post on comparisons and reviews of different fake-tans soon).

A lot of people have been complimenting me on my eyebrows recently, and I'm putting that down to my new faaaave eyebrow product by Benefit- Brow zings. I know it's been around for ages but I don't know what I was doing without it quite frankly because it's so easy to use. The product itself has the wax which you apply first with the little slanted brush followed by the powder and it also comes with a mini pair of tweezers. It's made my eyebrows look defined as well as natural- I aim for Kylie Jenner eyebrows! It's available in 3 shades and as a brunette I use the shade Medium.

Furthermore on Benefit Make-Up, I'm loving 'They're Real' mascara (enough said about that one?) it's the number 1 selling mascara in the world for a reason and while I don't think it lasts a great amount of time before drying it makes my eyelashes longer than any other mascara potentially bar Lancome Hypnose Star, and it's pretty resistant. The Hoola bronzer I will never get bored of as it is a matte olive-brown colour and a fave when I want to contour. I pair it with the Watts-Up gold highlighter on my cheek bones and I have such a nice glowy bronzed summertime look.

Lastly, as a lighter foundation this summer I am mainly using standard Garnier BB cream or tinted moisturiser, but when I want a bit more coverage I love the Bourjois CC cream. Whilst this product hasn't got a wide range of shades, it's dewy and light finish makes my skin look fresh and doesn't dry it out. To complete the look I am OBSESSED with the Kardashians lip set (surprise surprise), as those ladies all have amazing lips and lip make-up is said to be what has transformed Kylie Jenner these days. I love the lip-stick in 'Natural'- it comes with a double ended product, one end is a lipliner and the other is a lipstick and then you apply the famous 'honey stick' on top. I'm going to do a full review or make-up tutorial on the Kardashians look soon where I'll cover this in more detail but I think one of the only places you can grab this is feelunique.com and I really recommend it.
Just showing off now, but it's definitely top-down weather!
Thanks for reading and I hope you're enjoying your summer!
Lots of love x
